Overall, an interesting and informative read. However, I found some of her comments annoying and selfish.
She put down visitors and tourists, but yet she was also a visitor and tourist. Why is she any better, just because she has camels and not a 4 wheel drive?
Her very long journey with camels and a dog, would also have impacted the environment and would not have added much benefit to help local businesses.
Why contact National Geographic for financial help, but then reject any of their requests for a return - such as photos and a story?
