A cute fantasy, but very classic. Nothing really surprised me: it felt like a book I've read quite a few times before, but with Vikings.
The writing was okay. It has good moments, but there was a repetitiveness that bothered me. I often thought to myself "wait, I've read that exact wording the page before" and that irks me.
I still had a pleasant time reading the book. Just don't expect anything earth shattering when picking up this book.
