finally some good fucking food

i’m used to be burned by popular books that feature hetero romances but oh my god. i get it. emily henry gets it. miss henry you get me. finally a popular author that gets me. someone said this is for all the virgos out there and that’s so accurate. this is for us virgos!!!

i actually believed nora and charlie liked each other. the relationship between nora and libby was the best part though. the discussions on love and life and living fully for yourself mean so much so me, so much that i can bypass all the little nitpicky things that would’ve bumped it to 4 stars and give it a full 5 stars.

…but speaking of those. i don’t feel as if they were actual rivals, or they barely were rivals. that dynamic is marketed to hell and back but its not really present imo. and it does get info dumpy at times. also the timeline is a little wack, and i get that’s part of it, but damn! but, to an extent, it does still feel drawn out, which i appreciate.

but, overall, it was a pleasant and entirely welcomed surprise. i’ll be thinking about this book often.
