The Wildflower (Book 2 of Oakmount Elite) by J.L. Beck is a dark romantic suspense novel. Oh wow did I enjoy this novel but I knew I would before starting it. I HIGHLY advise reading The Wallflower first or you will be pretty lost in this book. The characters are wonderful and written so well and I love the plot.
Drew comes across as a little crazy but as all these crazy characters they have a lot of backstory to deal with and loads of baggage to carry around. The issue becomes they do not know how to always deal with it. Then there is Mabel or Bel with her own past and trauma. There are so many emotions to go through in this story and it definitely can be very dark. I love the chemistry they have and love. The author makes this all come together in one fantastic story.
I really enjoyed this story as I do any J.L. Beck novel. Her writing is fantastic and I enjoy the dark path and redemption she takes you on. Definitely check the triggers and then check this series out!
