Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson
5.0
Bryan Stevenson was a young lawyer when he founded the Equal Justice Initiative, a legal practice dedicated to defending those most desperate and in need: the poor, the wrongly condemned, and women and children trapped in the criminal justice system. One of his first cases was that of Walter McMillian, a young man who was sentenced to die for a notorious murder he insisted he didn’t commit. The case drew Bryan into a tangle of conspiracy, and legal brinksmanship—and transformed his understanding of mercy and justice forever.
review: Just Mercy is a must read and an unforgettable true story. As I read this book I found that I was heartbroken, angry, and sad with over our justice system. This book really opened my eyes to a different side of the criminal justice system. I highly encourage everyone to read this book. It is thought provoking, powerful, and will stay with you for a long time. Now that I have finished reading the book I plan on watching the movie. rating: 5 out of 5 ⭐️
