Many great stories.
This is a place to find "Flowers for Algernon", the 1959 short story by Daniel Keyes. It is much, much better than the expanded novel version, so please choose the story instead of the novel.

It is anthologized several places. I've referenced this collection (published in 1970) because it's easy to find and has a lot of other great stories.
