When the Stars Go Dark
by Paula McLain
A damaged “know it all” barges into town, and with no authority starts investigating.
She is judgmental, does not tell the truth about herself to those who need to know. Dispenses dear Abby advice and in general annoys the hell out of everyone.
I did read the epilogue, and I get that the author has a personal stake in the topic, and it’s an important topic, but the book was terrible.
