Too Late by Colleen Hoover

TW: rape, violent language, physical violence, drug abuse, graphic description of sex.

Well, this was a rollercoaster of me wanting to DNF this and me wanting to finally finish this book.
I still don't know how to feel about all of this.

SPOILER ALERT

Sloan is an interesting character and even though I didn't like reading from her POV (or any POV tbh) I feel she's very intelligent.

Let's talk about Luke, shall we?

Luke was complety unsuited for his job. He realized it himself many times but really it was painful to read from his POV. I really felt that he was just as obsessed as Asa, but because he's the "good guy" (aka treating her a lot better.. at least) we're supposed to root for him but... I couldn't stand him. I really tried to but I just couldn't.

Now, Asa is a whole different story. I like "villainous" guys that are .. well, likeable, but Asa was just .. n o. I hated how he faked a mental illness and how he treated everyone else. I hated how he really thought that Sloan loved him and enjoyed their sex. I truly believe that he didn't actually fake this mental illness because of his mind.

In conclusion, there was nothing really enjoyable about this book, which is unfortunate, because I REALLY liked Verity. But Too Late honestly gave me a headache.

Also, I'm really craving this coconut cake now.
