This book isn't great literature, and I'll be honest that I didn't love this book at the beginning. The writing isn't that strong. However, the author did a really good job of pulling this together. I love that the main characters are diverse and that the author plays on the mother, crone, and maiden theme. In fact each of the three main characters does things that women get punished for in general. We see the main characters grow through the book.
