Maverick, Maverick, Maverick ! My heart broke for him through the entire book — he holds so much pressure on himself to be everything everyone else needs of him. He is absolute perfection — a perfect blend of Alex and Vi. He’s an absolute gentleman in the streets, and you know what I’m the sheets (thank you Waters curse), IYKYK. Clover is a great leading lady as well. She’s going through a pretty rough time and really struggles with the dynamics of their relationship that creates many complications. She also knows that Maverick is someone she can’t let go of. She sees him, listens to him, and encourages him in the most lovingly supportive way.
