This book is divine. I want to live inside of it. I love Vincent so much. I love how much she cries. I love how she creates and how she thinks. I'm so moved by how she connects with and cares for people.  And I love Loup! Gah this whole book is the most beautiful Black-woman-in-her-forties-having-her-cake-and-eating-it-too and it absolutely made my heart swell. I read a lot and almost always when a book ends (even a 5-star book) I feel content that it's over because it's a piece of art that I've now seen through and that brings me joy. This is the rare book that I loved so much I actually didn't want to have to exit.
