I absolutely adore this series and author, so I had high hopes for the third novel. I am very happy to say that it meets all my expectations. Our two characters are incredible and I love them for it. I love Kai with all my heart. He puts himself out there and is just a sweet sensitive guy. I also adore Miller. She is incredibly tough and just wants to care for those around here in her own way. I think the build between the two is so fun. I absolutely love Monty as he is one of the funniest characters, I think, in the novel.
I can honestly say it’s been a while since a book has made me emotional enough to actually shed a tear and I did near the end here. As someone who relates to found family, I think it is done so beautifully. I love the dynamics and just the building of the relationship. Is it a realistic baseball novel? No, but all the best stories are a little fictitious. Kai and Miller are so insanely cute and I would read even more about them. This author has me counting down already for the next one. Liz you know how to write romance and write it well.
