Guess what? I loved it. This felt like Teen Wolf/Supernatural fanfic and I was so FREAKING here for it. Did I imagine Devin as Jensen Ackles? Of course I freaking did. Are you kidding me?!?
Devin, I loved you, I hated you, you are the love of my life. Here’s the thing about ME, my name is Belle so I love a beastly love interest. And Devin? Was that. This honestly could’ve also loosely been Beauty and the Beast fanfic too come to think of it? Douchebag beast falls for weird nerd girl. Just adding that onto why I l loved this book. I loved how sad and sensitive and kind of dumb Devin was. He was adorable and old and all the things I love about men.
ALEX! My little goth weirdo. As someone who has dipped her toes into many a fandoms it was easy for me to vibe with Alex. I wrote Teen Wolf and Harry Potter (the Marauders iykyk) fanfic in high school through to my early twenties. So I’m a huge f*ing nerd and very proud of that fact. So Alex being obsessed with a tv show that helped her get through the hardest moments of her life? The girls that get it get it and I’m one of those girls. Plus what a dream getting to bang the person you’ve literally fantasized about banging since you were a teenager. Dreamy right?
Devin will forever be Jensen Ackles in my mind and honestly lowkey Alex is Aubrey Plaza. Make this a movie so I can swoon on theaters! Or at least throw it on Netflix because let’s be real there are NOT enough fandom movies.
