I liked this one but didn’t love it. Not my favorite CLo book but I’m still a fan of this author duo! I think the biggest turnoff for me was that I didn’t really relate or connect to the main characters. The FMC was pretty crass/vulgar (I know I probably sound like a 70 year old woman saying that) but that was a turnoff for me. The relationship/romance felt more lusty than heartwarming/swoony. I did like the story, I enjoyed the fast paced nature of it, and I enjoyed seeing the growth in the characters and the family dynamics. The authors really wrote a dysfunctional family well. I was hard to read it some places because the people felt so real and flawed and yucky. I think that’s a testament to good writing. Overall, will still read what they right! This is a good summer read even if it wasn’t my fave of theirs.
