The Ask and the Answer by Patrick Ness

5.0

I didn't think I could love this more than I loved the first book. Clearly, I was wrong.

The story went along at a considerably slower pace than the first one, but it had so much more to it. It was heavier, and dealt with important issues.

If The Knife of Never Letting Go was a salad, then this was the main course - steak and mash with a side of garden salad. AND IT WAS DELICIOUS.

Ness' characters are so incredibly real. Todd and Viola are two very different, very similar people - and they're so very believable. You feel with them, you fear with them, you get pissed af right along with them. They're easily two of my favorite characters in YA fiction.

I am kicking myself for not reading these books sooner.
