The White Album by Joan Didion

4.0

A couple of Didion's essays focus on interests so niche I found it difficult to stay engaged (like the ones about California highways and aqueducts), and the piece on the women's rights movement was rather unfairly harsh considering it was coming from a woman in a place of social privilege. That being said, I loved the title essay, and the last two sections were simply captivating.
