Carnegie's Maid by Marie Benedict
5.0
Amazing. This book is just amazing, with the rich detail, excellent plot, and masterful ending. Benedict writes with an Austen-like flair, and her portrayal of the characters is rich, deep, moving, and definitely rings true.
I thought that this book is a great example of classic, believable, and stunningly gorgeous romance with important messages on equality, poverty, and life during that time.
The closing of the book is so simple, powerful, but elegant, and it really puts emphasis on the parts of the story that are most important. I have never read such a book. I am 12, and despite my young age I found it extraordinary, so truly extraordinary.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I must go read it again!
