I was definitely deterred by the name and cover of the book. Booktok showed so many people recommending this book. I said what the heck. I saw 768 pages and was like, what can she talk about for that long, and it's not a fantasy book. Baby, I was fooled by this book. It had me staying up past bedtime. I was so caught up in Damien "Demon" and Dream, I thought I was right there with them. I fell in love with their love story, and the various tropes had me yelling at Dream multiple times. Although this book was long, it was not rushed, and it was so worth reading. I need a part 2 with the way the epilogue ended.
