Upon a Winter's Night by Pamela Clare

4.0

I was delighted to find this novella-length epilogue to the MacKinnon's Rangers series. It takes place immediately after the events of book three and wraps up the stories for some of the side characters very nicely.
It's Christmas, but the three brothers find that the British have not paid their men for the last year and intend to remedy the situation. Meanwhile, their families reside at the farm, safe with all the new babies. Killy and Joseph stay with the women while the men ride to Albany. It's a very satisfying ending, though I would like a further book or two in the series dealing with Joseph and maybe even William Wentworth.
