The Bhagavad Gita by

This is unlike anything I've read before offering reflection on complex topics such as virtue, reincarnation and one's true purpose in life. I thoroughly enjoyed this and while it is a Hindu scripture, I think it applies universally with the messages it sends in relation to focusing on and doing good. I think you could spend hours pouring over the text to extract all it's advice in every one of it's intricate verses. From a first reading ideas around our state of mind, the intention behind actions and desire and passion vs knowledge and purity really stood out to me. This neat translation acts as practical guide for attaining inner peace.
