Hawkeye: Omnibus by Jesse Hamm, Steve Lieber, Annie Wu, David Aja, Javier Pulido, Alan Davis, Francesco Francavilla, Matt Fraction
5.0

I love stories like this. I love seeing characters living their day-to-day, seeing behind the mask. Hawkeye seems to struggle less fighting super villains than Clint Barton struggles with his personal life. Though I was impressed at the admission of how hard being an Avenger really is, especially for someone that doesn't have superpowers: "It's like being in the NFL full time" "I think my concussions have concussions."

I loved that one of the adventures started out with him going to get some tape to label his trick arrows. I love that the character has no qualms about calling the famous genius/billionaire/playboy/philanthropist Tony Stark to help set up his DVR, but won't ask his fellow avengers for help when criminals try to intimidate him and his neighbors into leaving their apartment building. I love that he is reluctant to get close to his neighbors or even fully move in to his apartment UNTIL he has to protect them.

"My Life As A Weapon" is a really great title.

I wish the movie version was as snarky and sarcastic as the comic version.

Anyway, I would recommend this to just about anyone who loves comics. The writing and art were truly award worthy. The characters were really brought to life and the stories were highly entertaining.
