Walk Two Moons
by Sharon Creech
Wow. I powered through this book from the wee hours of the morning until late morning while watching over my elderly mom during a medical test. How very, very appropriate.
This is a story about mothers and daughters and all the roles that mothers play - wives, daughters, grandmothers. Grief, loss, recovery, hiding from oneself, finding oneself - at all stages of life. Joy, empathy, love - familial and romantic. Whew. What a roller coaster!
I am sorry my children didn’t pick up this book in their middle years, though they found many other good ones.
