Did not finish book. Stopped at 62%.
Really well developed main character and well written. Mentions of “s*rial k*ller” on book jacket, but no indication of the victims being black and brown children. Descriptions of m*rder of adults was detailed and gory — I can tolerate that to some degree, but I don’t like it. Descriptions of the violence against children were vague enough to force myself to tolerate it, but that’s just it — I don’t want to do that. SA/t*rture/m*rder of children is one thing I cannot bring myself to read about. I think it’s irresponsible for the author and publishers to leave out that CRUCIAL detail on the back of the book. I am kind of over this genre of violent thrillers.
