A Beautiful Blue Death by Charles Finch

5.0

I saw this book at the library, and thought that the title seemed interesting so I picked it up. I am really happy that I did. This book was an enjoyable read. This was the author's first novel, and I will definitely be reading others by him. When I finished the last page I wanted his other books in front of me so I could dive into them. This was a mystery book but the murder plot was not the main point of the book, the character were. The main characters that I believe will be in every novel were likable and I enjoyed seeing them change through the book and discover new things about themselves and the people closest to them. The mystery part of the plot was enjoyable and mostly believable. The main character outlined the answer to the mystery in a way that seemed realistic and easy to understand. Overall I recommend this book to other readers especially ones who like mystery books.
