Poison Princess by Kresley Cole
5.0
I was pretty impressed by Kresley's writing, story, and characters when I read her book Shadow's Claim, an adult paranormal romance. I saw this on her website, requested it from the library, and am so glad I did. Another page turner, I couldn't put it down, whew... it is just great! I thought her trying to write a boy speaking with a Cajun accent was going to be rough, but it wasn't at all. It was pretty darn hot! The tension in this book is great, the story is unlike anything I've read before, definitely different, a little dark in places, a little gritty, but sizzling on the pages with some romance. This was the kind of story I was looking for, she is not afraid to put in some grit into the post apocalyptic tale, and she sets up the characters nicely. What I love about Jackson and Evie is that they come from different worlds and experiences, at times they really dislike each other, they fight, but they do this dance of sexual tension that is just the right amount of mmm that makes you keep reading. I'm so glad I requested the second book Endless Knight as well because wow... cliffhanger, didn't see that coming in the first one. Absolutely fantastic! Read it!
