I am honestly just confuzzled by this book. Ava does not grow in this book, which is of course hampered by Mat pretending to be her therapist. But she still goes back to him even after catching him in multiple lies and attending his weird cult group. Like the man lied about his dog, the shelter said the dog would be put down, and Ava just forgot about that till weeks later?? I feel like the authors strung the plot along after the lies started emerging to get to the big reveal and therefore made Ava into a character who was too willing to gloss over the astounding amount of red flags.
Did like that queer representation was seemlessly there, but also bisexuality, who?
