this book starts off good but falls off very quickly. it just takes TOO LONG to get to the point (talking about everything … and i mean everything: the walls, the paintings, the clothes …. else than what the actual hell is going on). the best part about this book was darlington and he was in it what?? 10%? it’s trying so hard to be dark academia, suspenseful and „not like other girls“ that it’s actually pissing me off. you know who else is pissing me off? alex. the epitome of „f around and find out“. the bringer of her own (bad) faith. i tried 3 series from leigh bardugo now and this will be the last. i’d rather watch paint dry than spend just ONE more chapter with alex. eugh. also i’m sorry but people saying „it gets good after 200 pages“ are you FOR REAL? so you really have to sit through 200 pages for the story to finally pick up and have you hooked? lmao. save your time and read something better instead i’m so for real.
