What a beautiful first volume! The artwork is fairly simple but stunning, especially with it being in full color. The extra artwork included between chapters is an added bonus!
The story starts out with our yet unnamed FMC walking into a police officer on the street and, from there, we get to see their relationship blossom in short, everyday life snippets. I love both the main characters, who we later learn are named Emma and Alexander. Emma is fearless and witty; Alexander is protective and honest; together they make a perfect pair. I love that Alexander dotes on Emma and she teases him to no end.
I just wanted a bit more substance to the story but can appreciate the mangaka’s style and approach. Excited to pick up volume 2!
Thank you Udon Entertainment and NetGalley for the e-arc.
