The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
by Ann Brashares
I read this series twice before but this was my first time in over 10 years. Now that I’m an adult, I can really appreciate how beautiful of a coming-of-age story this is.
——
My heart broke for Bridget. We really are so confident as teens that we think we’re ready for anything.
I was tragically inspired by Bailey just as Tibby was. Life comes at you fast, and it really puts things into perspective.
I remember being annoyed at Carmen reading this as a teen, but now I’m honestly so shocked at her dad. He handled the whole situation selfishly—avoiding the hard stuff to skip to everything being ok. I’m glad she told him how she felt.
This first book holds up really well. (Except for the very 2000a fashion
