Once again, I really enjoyed getting into this book, this universe full of magic, full of softness.

It's still a cozy fantasy, and it's still slow (maybe a bit too slow to my liking) as I feel like this book 2 is more of a launching pad for the next installment : there are a lot of different plots getting updates and more development, there are new plots, but every single one advance slowly, so we don't get endings into this book, they may hopefully come in book 3. And that's sadly why it's "only" a 4 stars for me.

The romance was awesome, Briar is having a good character and magical growth even with her 'curse', and I still really enjoy the school, the festivals, the friends. There are more risks on the long term for the school, already changes, and as we get to feel attached to the characters as well as the school, I get a bit sad and am really invested in the protection of the school, just like the MC.

I really can't wait to read book 3, and getting all the plots evolving here having some finality in the next book!
