I know I'll enjoy a book by Abby Jimenez even though I know it will rip out my heart and squash it underfoot. She writes family stories that have such depth and realism that they surprise me every time. And the truth of her love stories are the same way. Easy to read but never easy reads, if that makes sense. She deals with tough issues deftly. I cry multiple times in each one. Read it in a day because I didn't want to put it down.
