Who's That Girl?: A Memoir by Eve

3.0

I'm sure Eve has a great story to tell. It just might not be in this book. In part, it's because she doesn't really say.. much. She talks in circles, doesn't go into much detail, and chooses when to drop names. Those who have kept up with the goings on can fill in the blanks, but if you don't know, you won't know. One quote I recall when she speaks of her music, she "could go there" with her music but "never really went there". Same for this book. I did enjoy the niblets I was able to gain from the book, like her growing up, getting into rapping and the start of her career. But a lot of that I could probably get from watching an extended interview.
