emk5 's review for:
Yellowface
by R.F. Kuang
Strong character development:
No
Loveable characters:
No
Not for me...almost every character was like a cliche/parody of a character which I know was intentional, I just don't like reading it. Overall this book felt pretty self indulgent and also very surface level. I did find it funny that June was "shocked" her mentee asked if she was asian even after her publicists (?) had her use a pen name with last name "Song" lol.
Graphic: Death
Moderate: Racism, Sexual assault
