As much as I love the characters of Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist it just may be time for me to let these characters go. I absolutely devoured the original trilogy so I was excited when more books with these characters were announced. That being said I find myself enjoying these books less and less.
While I have nothing against the new author (he did have some big shoes to fill) there just seems to be something missing. These aren't the same characters I loved and cared about. It almost feel like we are given clones of these characters. Sure they may look familiar but many of the things that made them who they were are missing.
Not sure if the author plans on writing anymore Millennium books but I can't for sure see myself picking up anymore in the future. I may change my mind but I guess only time will tell.
