This Is Where the World Ends by Amy Zhang

So I listened to the audiobook for this and i thoroughly enjoyed it.
I feel like I can't really talk about this book without being spoiler-y. So there is a trigger warning for rape in this book and that part of the book was really intense and ultimately I would say 'changed the course of history' for the characters as it kinda of created the major complication in this book.
I really liked Micah on this book and ultimately I felt sorry for him, I feel that Janie used and manipulated him throughout the book and he was so often left behind by her.
I mean I also felt sorry for Janie, she was mistreated and felt abandoned by her parents and then she was raped by her boyfriend when she was very drunk but that doesn't excuse the way she treated Micah and other people in the book. I really liked the parts from her journal and how they were fairytales though.
Also the fact that Micah had (I'm pretty sure) selective amnesia played a really interesting part in how things unfolded.
Ultimately this was an enjoyable (albeit intense) listen and I would recommend.
