There will be SPOILERS in this review!

Well, it all begins here. The Shibuya incident. I know it officially started already in the previous volume but still, now we actually get to Shibuya and it’s so good.

But anyway, first we have to talk about Mechamaru’s fight with Mahito. It’s fine and entertaining and all but nothing that special. My favorite thing about it was definitely getting to know Mechamaru better. I love how he just wanted to go back to his friends from Kyoto school and how he keeps thinking of Miwa and how she promised she’ll come visit him to get to know him better. And then he is completely obliterated by Mahito so yeah. Just great.

And then we have Gojo fighting those curses. Bro just walks on people’s heads like it’s nothing and then kills Hanami almost instantly. I mean, I liked it. There is just something about Gojo when he looks a bit insane, smiling as he pulls out Hanami’s branches or something. Just great. I mean, if Mahito didn’t come right when he did, Jogo would probably die as well. And Choso too not long after that which would be very much devastating.

I also have to talk about Yuji and his fight with the Grasshopper curse. It’s hilarious. Probably the funniest scene in the entire Shibuya incident. I mean, the curse keeps boasting about how smart it is and is like “I bet you’re really dumb” to Yuji and “you have no idea which curse I am” to which Yuji is like “grasshopper, right?” and the curse completely mind-blown by the level of Yuji’s intelligence. Mind you, Yuji isn’t even that smart. Now what does that make the grasshopper?

Anyway, a very entertaining volume with a touch of comedy for an otherwise very grim and traumatic arc. I’m giving it 4 stars since it is good, but definitely not as great as the moments to come.
