The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw

3.0

The town of Sparrow is cursed. 200 years ago, 3 sisters (Marguerite, Olivia and Hazel Swan) were drowned for practicing witchcraft and enchanting all the men in the town. Every year, the three sisters take over the bodies of 3 young girls.

In modern day, a stranger named Bo has appeared in the town. Penny takes pity on him and invites him to the Island she lives on. Together, the two of them are trying to unravel who the sisters are and how to break the curse.

The atmosphere of this book is fantastic. The dark, grey, rainy weather was perfectly done, I could almost feel the rain around me. I could also perfectly picture the island that Penny lived on and how the town was set up. The siren and witch craft aspect was really good. Unfortunately, I felt like most of the novel was really tropey. They had insta love, which I always just find to be annoying.

3.5/5 stars.
I'd recommend this to fans of witches, sirens or atmospheric reads.
