I'm loving these novellas!
Redawn picks up where Sunreach ends but this time it's from Alanik's point of view and it follows her as she navigates the politics of her home in addition to fighting the superiority and securing allies.
This was yet another great installment in the Skyward universe, I honestly can't get enough of this universe, especially when the story involves the skyward flight because they're amazing!
It was so fun to see them from the perspective of someone who wasn't a part of the group, it gave an even better insight into the group and their dynamic (spoiler: they're wonderful)
I really liked the politics in this book, it's always something I enjoy in my sci-fi reads. The differing opinions, the give and take, the mind games it's all so intriguing to me.
Just like the last novella this one also felt a little more YA than the books but it wasn't a bother to me, they still had awesome space fights so I'm fine.
THAT ENDING THOUGH! Holy shit!! I'm not even sure WHAT to feel about it!!!!
I'm so excited to know what happens next.
Overall if you like the Skyward books even a little bit, READ THE DAMN NOVELLAS.
