Being the first book I have read by this author, I am really happy with what I read! It had passion, intensity, twists and so much more as this push and pull between Luca and Amelie. Circumstances beyond their control led to so many epic moments of ‘did that just happen’ with raw passionate and emotional moments that made my heart ache for both of them. But oh my stars, everything they both endured. I will give Amelie credit, she is a fighter. Especially with how she was treated to how things all played out. She broke free of those chains. I really wanted to hate Luca because of everything he had been doing to her, but in the end I just couldn’t. Things made sense in the long run but his wanting to be there for her and his care about her even though he knew he really messed up. He would follow her to the ends of the earth.
Overall, this was an intense story that kept me on my toes and I devoured it. I enjoyed the flow and watching the characters grow throughout. I am looking forward to what is to come!
