beautifully written with an interesting and unexpected plot. i was swept away by most of the characters and i was so extremely into the story that all the misunderstandings were painful. miscommunication is one of my least favorite tropes, but this book handles it (as well as just sort of lack of communication?) pretty well because the characters don’t know they SHOULD communicate! it was for sure still frustrating, but it felt mostly realistic more than an author not letting characters talk so the plot goes on longer.
