hopeful informative reflective relaxing slow-paced

i will 1000% be returning to this book. it was recommended to me bc i’m currently going through a major breakup and am trying to get through nights (they’re the worst rn) and this book really simplifies mental health struggles and does a really great job of breaking down immediate crisis, immediately after a crisis, and long term healing. as someone who has been in therapy for years, this book isn’t anything revolutionary BUT it has something for everyone. my favorite chapters were about mindfulness and understanding grief. i wasn’t completely finished with the book before i recommended it to 2 other people, which is a sure sign of 5 ⭐️ for me. i also loved the silliness in the epilogue in the audiobook version and the humanity and HONESTY that dan showed consistently throughout the book. so good. so real. he did a wonderful job
