I didn't read a blurb or introduction. So I spent the first third wondering what the hell I was reading. In fact, I didn't realise it was meant to be read in a humorous tone until a way in - and then it was very funny. It's an absurd world of very mediocre cultists whose pinball life-paths had me reflecting on the ridiculousness of life and our attempts to make sense of it.
