Synopsis:
In this Twisted Tale we follow Meg after the events of Disneys ‘Hercules’. When Hercules tells Zeus he’d like to stay on earth, Zeus refuses saying he’s not going to risk losing his son again. Meg, a mortal, can’t be with a God so Hera offers her a once in a lifetime opportunity: Obtain Athena’s lost flute and then head to the underworld and retrieve her Ex’s wife’s soul within 2 weeks time. Can Meg get past her feelings of betrayal and help the woman she’s always resented? And if Hades finds out, will he ever let her leave his realm?

Review:
I loved this book so much! Hercules is my favorite Disney movie of all time and I started reading this RIGHT after finishing the movie for the bazillionth time and it HIT SO WELL!
The characters? Their personalities were PERFECTLY ON POINT with the cartoon.
The storyline? Very much played out like a Disney Movie (*Hint Hint* Disney! MAKE THIS INTO A MOVIE!!).
Plus, we got to know some of the existing Gods from the movie even better and we met knew ones! And not just new ones BUT… *DRUMROLL PLEASE*…
WE MEET PERSEPHONE!!! AH!!! WE LITERALLY GET TO SEE DISNEYS HADES FALLING IN LOVE AND IT WAS JUST SO… CHEFS KISS!!!

So why only 4 stars???
There’s only one little ick I had about this book and it was the fact that Persephone was described completely different and if you guys have seen the movie (and know the mythology), you will know that Persephone WAS in the movie! She was that blonde Goddess with pink skin and a Pink flower on her head that shows up next to her mother Demeter so when the author described her as a girl with Black hair and tan skin I was kind of taken aback like, “girl, Jenn honey… did we watch the same movie?”
