Replaying the Game
by Emily Tudor
I'll admit, college romances are not usually on my radar. Something about the usual immaturity of them usually scares me away.
Not Hads and Grant. They are old souls, and though their communication lacks at times, they are pretty mature for being barely 19-20 through most of the book. Grant is a cinnamon roll hockey boy we all need in our lives. Unlike some of his teammates, he isn't into hooking up, partying (too hard, at least) and manipulation. He shows Hadleigh what it means to be loved by someone who truly cares after an ex wrecked her confidence and ability to see romance in real life.
My favorite scene in the book was when Grant shows up for Hads when she's sick. I love his sternness that he is staying, while still being tender and sweet to her. She needed that more than she knew at the time. I love the girl power throughout the book as well, you can feel the love within the book club.
The book ends on quite the cliffhanger, so it'll be interesting to see the next in the series and how Oliver and Paige handle the situation.
