I was not really in the mental space to read something like this to be honest. After reading a number of novels, getting back to non-fiction and spiritual stuff was challenging and awkward. I found myself struggling with these concepts initially. I was reading very slowly having to re-read passages all the time. Once I got back into this mode though, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Potent and powerful book. Really puts religion and myth into perspective and gave me a better understanding of where I stand in regard to my spiritual journey. I think that this could be beneficial to anyone looking to challenge their religion or understanding of myths. Parts of it were not very engaging or relevant to me but overall I loved it.
