Unlikely Match by Laura Bradbury
3.0

Tom and Jules. CEOs of two companies that share an office space and are competing for an angel investor's money. She's dreadfully sick and needs a liver transplant, but she isn't sick enough to move up the transplant list. Their first meeting is awful. Tom thinks she is a spoiled, entitled brat. Jules thinks he is an asshat. And so we lay the groundwork for a typical enemies-to-lovers story.

They're forced to work together and learn from each other, and the dynamic starts to shift. We see that Jules' family is truly horrific (I know I have written that before, but this family is truly, really, absolutely, disgustingly horrific). And we see that Tom is withdrawn and unapproachable for a reason.

Jules' body quits, and Tom becomes her donor. Jules finds Tom's beloved foster dad, but the dynamic as shifted again as Tom has saved her life and they can never be equals again.

But Jules has a great friend (Alan) and great colleagues and a great boyfriend who are going to help her get straight.
