General Comments: Impassioned; Eddo-Lodge catalyses an urgent conversation about race in Britain. Racial inequalities are stark, yet normalised; white people are privileged, yet complacent. One of, if the, most important books I have read. Beautifully written; powerful; educational; and rightly distressing. It provides the building blocks for a fairer Britain. If you are white, read this; highlight every drop of info.

Favourite Quote: ‘White privilege is an absence of the consequences of racism. An absence of structural discrimination, an absence of your race being viewed as a problem first and foremost.’
