Wow. I really enjoyed book 1, but this one…
Cal is awful. I kept wanting Lucy to forget Cal and give Nash a chance. The guy treats her like crap, is a huge mess, and doesn’t really effectively turn his life around by the end. He changes for her, but what about when the honeymoon period is over. What about when life gets hard again… will he turn to his addictions? I’m not convinced he won’t break her heart over and over again, and Lucy doesn’t deserve that, even if she is a little annoying.
Lucy was a complete doormat and it was aggravating. It didn’t matter what Cal did, she welcomed him back with open arms. I laughed when Cal tells her to move in so he can take care of her, then a few pages later he gets mad about something and disappears for a COUPLE WEEKS! And she just takes it. Ugh!
I basically breezed through the last 15-20% because I was over it.
