Easy, fast-paced read, great ideas and strong female characters.
While this is a post-apocalyptic story where you might expect a lot of violence, surprisingly and refreshingly there is not. It is great to read about the potential people have to come together for good. Even better when it is the extremely smart scientists who are the heroes of the story.
The only negative I have are the detailed sex scenes between both women and men and women and women. In this sense, the book goes from a sci-fi, post-apocalyptic thriller to a hardcore romance and would have been more successful without.
But in saying that I was happy to skim those parts and follow some new characters and biological agents. I really enjoyed this book, would recommend it and will be buying the third in the series to read today.
