The Argonauts by Maggie Nelson: 3.5/5

had kinda an inexplainable experience reading this. the subject matter both deeply resonated but also ricocheted. her writing is gorgeous, dense, and deeply personal. it’s messy and scattered, and felt like a long ramble and streams of thoughts. a lot was explored in this short book from motherhood, queer (and other forms of) families, feminism, writing, sexuality, and gender. it’s one of those books that you’ll want to reread once a year and dig out a new insight.

rly loved the concept of using the Argo as a metaphor for renewal.
